Riverside has been a family friendly community club providing swimming opportunities in a fun, safe and enjoyable atmosphere since 1974. We cater to all levels of swimmer whether you are just starting out, want to be Australia’s next national hero, or just looking to improve those swimming skills, Riverside can help you get there.
The swimming season is divided into two seasons – short course and long course events, short course events are held in a 25m pool and run from May to October (inside, in Winter), the long course season runs from October – April (outside, for Summer).
Swimit provide exclusive coaching services for Riverside and are led by Sandra Crabtree & David Anderson for further information on the coaching sessions & times please visit Coaching
Throughout the year the club holds various social events, information regarding these events will be shared with you via email.
We have various club merchandise: caps, shirts, jumper, bathers, towels and other merchandise.
Please use your family name as your reference and include the item you are paying for. Please note Riverside bank details are different from Swimit.
The club is always eager to welcome new members into our ranks and we look forward to seeing you in the water soon.
The Riverside Swimming Club Committee is always keen to accept volunteer helpers – without volunteers your club would become an expensive exercise, so please offer from time to time – you’ll likely meet one of the other parents in just the same boat as you! Most jobs require no technical expertise, experience or training – and many of the jobs make the time pass just that little bit quicker!
Your competitive membership of Riverside does also include a Swimming WA membership which allows your child/children to participate in events sanctioned by Swimming WA. To find out more about the swimming competitions available a calendar of events is available on the My Swim Results webpage or purchase a copy of the season’s almanac from Swimming WA.
If your child has joined the club as a competitive member we would suggest you purchase an annual subscription ($13.20) to My Swim Results as this is database is used to enter events and monitor your child’s progress.
Swimming WA provides excellent opportunities for new swimmers to compete at Novice Events (like Splash & Dash) and also the Rookie meets – visit My Swim Results for further information. You may also want to look at the Information for Competitive-Swimmers handout for what to expect at these events.
